Amad Diallo put the Black Cats ahead inside the opening 20 minutes, from the penalty spot, before West Brom netted twice in the final twenty minutes, through Tom Rogic and Daryl Dike to secure all three points. It was West Brom’s sixth championship-win of the season. Rotherham, on the other hand, have lost five of their last eight outings in the second tier. The most recent defeat came at home to Bristol City. Their last win came against second-placed Sheffield United on November 9, courtesy of Ben Wiles’ lone goal inside the opening 38 minutes.
