In the midst of the ongoing 2023 summer transfer window, football enthusiasts are delighted by the daily drop of surprising and intriguing news. With clubs making unexpected announcements, the emotions of football fans internationally are in constant flux as new signings are secured and beloved players bid farewell. Amidst all the excitement, one particular update shines brightly, capturing the attention of the football world. PSG has reportedly contacted Barcelona about signing Ousmane Dembele. The French winger’s contract with Barcelona extends until June 2024. As per reports, he has a release clause of €50 million until July 31, 2023, which increases to €100 million afterward. Barcelona aims to renew Dembele’s contract, but PSG wants to strengthen their squad after Lionel Messi’s departure.

Chelsea rejected Juventus’ loan offer for Romelu Lukaku, with the Belgian striker training with Chelsea, and his future uncertain under manager Mauricio Pochettino. Lukaku reportedly prefers a move to Juventus, who proposed a loan deal with an option to buy. Chelsea values Lukaku at a reported value of £34.2 million, but his price could decrease as he remains sidelined. PSG officially sold Mauro Icardi to Galatasaray on a permanent transfer, after a disappointing stint since joining from Inter Milan in 2020 for €50 million reportedly. Galatasaray secured the Argentine striker for an alleged fee of €10 million.

Bayern Munich out of David Raya race

Brentford’s goalkeeper David Raya was a prominent figure in all of the team’s 38 Premier League matches last season, contributing to their impressive defensive record. With just one year left on his current contract and no intention of an extension, the club is eager to sell him this summer to avoid losing him on a free transfer. Interest in Raya is abundant, with Tottenham and Manchester United among the clubs previously linked to the 27-year-old. Bayern Munich appeared to be leading the race for his signature, but negotiations between Brentford and the club have taken a dramatic turn. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on Twitter that talks have collapsed after a recent meeting. Bayern’s offer of a loan deal was rejected by both the player and Brentford, leaving Munich out of the race of signing the talented goalkeeper.

Arsenal’s interest in David Raya

Arsenal has shifted their interest to signing David Raya this summer, as reported by a reputable transfer journalist David Ornstein. The Brentford goalkeeper has expressed his willingness to join the Gunners. While no official bid has been made yet, Brentford is aware of Arsenal’s interest in the 27-year-old. The current second-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal, Matt Turner, is reportedly being considered by Nottingham Forest for their goalkeeping plans. This could potentially prompt the club’s management to seek a new shot-stopper, with Raya emerging as his preferred target for the position.

Al-Hilal eyeing Victor Osimhen

As per reports, Al-Hilal has given up on their pursuit of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain and is now focusing on acquiring Napoli’s striker, Victor Osimhen. According to reports, Al-Hilal shifted their interest to Osimhen after their attempts to sign Mbappe fell through. Allegedly, Al-Hilal has made an offer of €200 million (£171 million) for Osimhen, leaving Napoli concerned about the possibility of losing their star striker. Additionally, reports suggest that Osimhen is also on PSG’s list of potential transfer options.
