It will be an interesting clash for people from South Korea, who will get to see a top Premier League side playing in their backyard. Tottenham will be the heavy favourites for this clash. Nonetheless, this game does not hold a lot of significance in the grand scheme of things other than helping the players gain match fitness.

Spurs ended last season in a blistering fashion to grab an unlikely top-four berth. They took advantage of their fierce rivals – Arsenal – slipping up, in the end, to secure the fourth spot with 71 points from 38 games. A lot of the credit has to go to their manager Antonio Conte, who revolutionised the squad since becoming their manager at the start of last season. Their impressive form at the end of the campaign will give them a lot of confidence ahead of the new season.

Hence, the upcoming pre-season games will give the players an opportunity to get their match sharpness back on track and also improve their team bonding. Conte is already putting them through immense work rate to get them in the best possible shape for the new campaign. Meanwhile, two players from each of the 12 clubs in the K-League have been called up to Team K-League. It will be interesting to see how well they can compete against a top European side.

Possible Lineups

Tottenham have been impressive in the transfer window so far by making smart acquisitions. The North London club have already signed Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet and Yves Bissouma. These signings have got their fans excited ahead of their return to Champions League football. They were not able to complete the Lenglet deal on time, hence he will not be a part of the upcoming clash.

However, it remains to be seen as to how many of the remaining players will be a part of the playing XI on Wednesday. On the other hand, K-League XI will be managed by Kim Sang-Sik, who is also the manager of reigning national champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. The side will have a good number of South Korean players, however, foreign players from countries such as Brazil will also be in the reckoning to play some minutes.

Tottenham Hotspur possible lineup: Forster; Emerson, Romero, Sanchez, Davies, Perisic, Sarr, Bissouma, Kulusevski, Kane, Son

K-League XI possible lineup: Hyeon-woo, Seung-wook, Jeong-ho, Tae-wook, Jin-su, Jin-ho, Seung-woo, Myung-joo, Veldwijk, Cesinha, Fernandes
