Tianjin Jinmen Tiger had endured a mixed run of results in the fixtures prior to the beginning of the Chinese Super League 2022. They had managed three wins, a draw but also two narrow defeats in their last six matches before June. They began their campaign with a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture against Meizhou Hakka and then went on a two match losing streak with a 2-1 loss and a 1-0 loss to Shenzhen FC and Beijing Guoan respectively. However, Tianjin Jinmen Tiger produced a positive result in their last game in the form of a 2-0 win against Cangzhou Mighty Lions. Genwei Yu’s side will hope to build on this important win and go for another victory against Meizhou Hakka.
As for Meizhou Hakka, their inconsistencies before the 2022 edition of Chinese Super League have not yet faded away. They managed two wins, one draw and three defeats before the June fixtures. Two points were all what they could earn in their opening two matches against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger and Cangzhou Mighty Lions respectively. They managed a 2-1 win against Shenzhen FC on matchday three but since then have only been able to yield another two draws against Beijing Guoan and Chengdu Ronghcheng FC. Milan Ristic will be content with the fact that his side is yet to suffer a defeat but will hope for more balance to earn maximum points against Tianjin Jinmen Tiger.
Tianjin Jinmen Tiger will be without any suspension or fitness related woes for the match. This will certainly boost their chances of earning a second win in a row.
