Swansea extended their unbeaten run to four games on Easter Monday courtesy of Joel Piroe’s first-half brace against Wigan at DW Stadium. It was the Swans’ 14th second tier victory of the season. Having leapfrogged Stoke City and moved up to 14th spot with that third win of the four-match span, Russell Martin’s side now only trail 13th-placed Bristol City by goal-difference and 12th-placed Watford by three points. Meanwhile, Swansea have won just eight of their 20 home-games in the Championship this season and their last two wins came on the road.
Huddersfield on the other hand, are also in pretty good form, having not tasted defeat in their last five outings, including three wins in that period. Last time out, the Yorkshire outfit shared the spoils against Blackburn despite taking a 2-0 lead through first-half efforts from Matty Pearson and Jack Rudoni. The Terriers’ have won 11 league-games this season and their latest success came away to Watford (3-2) last Friday, thanks to Jack Rudoni’s 44th-minute equaliser and two second-half efforts from Pearson and Kian Harratt. Huddersfield will be definitely high on confidence after taking 11 points from their last four games, and will be hoping to further increase their chances of survival with another triumph this weekend.
