Shenzhen FC will be taking on the Cangzhou Mighty Lions in the matchday four of the Chinese Super League. The teams are separated by just one point in the league table, but their respective standings show much more contrast. The hosts occupy the fifth spot while Cangzhou Mighty Lions are way below them at 12th. This goes to show the level of competitiveness in the league and the relevance of the fixture. The hosts, Shenzhen FC had endured a mixed run of results in their last six fixtures coming into this season’s Chinese Super League with two wins, one draw and three defeats. Their start to the current campaign has also been somewhat similar with two victories, an opening day 2-0 win over Chengdu Rongcheng FC and beating Tianjin Jinmen Tiger 2-1 respectively. However, they lost their last fixture 2-1 to Meizhou Hakka. The visitors, who had entered June on the back of a very successful run winning four of their last six matches, will be keen to get back to winning ways and take themselves to the top half of the table. For the hosts, Morteza Pouraliganji along with Mubarak Wakaso are set to be out for the game. The former being sidelined due to fitness issues while Wakaso being unavailable due to personal issues. In addition, Romain Alessandrini will also miss the game having suffered an injury in the last game. The rest of the squad would be available for Jang-Soo Lee to select from. Cangzhou Mighty Lions on the other hand will be without the services of the injured Oscar Maritu.
