Matchday eight of the Chinese Super League 2022 will witness Shanghai Port play host to Hebei FC. The clubs have witnessed contrasting fortunes in their respective league campaigns so far. Shanghai Port have accumulated 10 points so far and as a result sit at the 10th spot. While, Hebei FC have endured a disappointing league run so far and find themselves in the relegation zone at the 17th position with just three points so far. In the last meeting between these two sides three weeks ago, Shanghai Port came out on top with a 2-0 win and will undoubtedly be the favourites again to grab all the three points.

However, in their last match against Wuhan Yangtze River, they managed their first win of the season and will be hoping that it is the first step in their redemption towards the top of the table.
Shanghai Port will be a little worried about the absence of Aaron Mooy who will be sidelined due to injury. Rest of the squad is available for selection into the playing XI. Hebei FC will be boosted by the fact they will not have any fitness or suspension related issues to deal with. It will undoubtedly help them in their quest for a second victory in a row.
