Roma are going through a dark patch, having not tasted victory in their last three league-games, that includes a 1-0 defeat against Lazio in the derby on November 6. The Giallorossi shared the spoils against Torino in their last Serie A game, courtesy of Nemanja Matic’s 94th-minute strike which canceled out Karol Linetty’s opener. With the likes of Juventus and Inter Milan finding form, Mourinho’s side quickly needs to get back on track to have any chance of fighting for a Champions League spot.Â
Bologna, on the other hand, had a great spell in October and November, winning four of their last five league-matches. It was their fifth league-win of the campaign, taking their points tally to 19, eight adrift of a European spot and ten clear of the relegation zone.
Roma will be without midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum and striker Andrea Belotti, who are occupying the treatment room because of knee and hamstring injuries respectively. English-man Tammy Abrahan is expected to lead the line, with Zaniolo and Pellegrini in support. As for Bologna, centre-back Kevin Bonifazi and attacker Joshua Zirkzee are sidelined with injuries. Austria international Arnautovic could spearhead the attack, with Aebischer and Soriano occupying the flanks.
