Osasuna suffered their 14th league-defeat of the season against Atletico last time out courtesy of second-half efforts from Yannick Carrasco, Saul Niguez and Angel Correa. Prior to that, Los Rojillos got the better of Almeria 3-1 thanks to goals from Ante Budimir, Abde Ezzalzouli and Moi Gomez. It was their 13th top flight victory of the campaign. having recorded four defeats and a win from their last five outings, Jagoba Arrasate’s side have slipped down to the mid-table, and will be desperate to get back to winning ways if they are to challenge for a Europa Conference League spot. Meanwhile, Osasuna have won three of their last four games at El Sadar, scoring eight times in the process.
Athletic Bilbao, on the other hand, secured all three points against Celta Vigo on Saturday thanks to Inaki Williams’ fifth-minute opener and Alejandro Remiro’s winner ten minutes into the second-half. It was the Lions’ 14th league-win of the season and the result ended their four-game winless streak, that included three defeats. Meanwhile, Athletic Club have taken ten points from their last five away-games in the La Liga and they have been pretty good on the road this term, picking up 23 points from 17 top flight away matches.
