Moldova and Andorra will be up against each other in matchday four of the UEFA Nations League. The teams are separated in the group D1 only through goal difference with both of them on four points. The hosts will be looking for a strong response after an embarrassing 4-2 defeat against Latvia last time around while Andorra will look to make it two consecutive wins following their win against Liechtenstein and possibly develop a gap between themselves and Moldova in the group table. These two nations met each other last week and played out a 0-0 draw in Andorra.

Moldova made a strong statement to their 2022/23 Nations League campaign following relegation from League C last time around, by defeating Liechtenstein 2-0 in their opener. But they haven’t been able to keep that form up with a draw against Andorra and a 4-2 defeat to Latvia following since then. The loss against Latvia was also their sixth consecutive home defeat which will make the pre match scenario against Andorra ever so more against their favour. A win is must for them to keep their hopes of promotion to League C alive.
Andorra, on the other hand, unlike Moldova didn’t enjoy the best of starts to their Nations League run losing 3-0 to Latvia. But have responded well since then earning four points out of a possible six, with draw in the reverse fixture against Moldova and a clinical win against Liechtenstein. Andorra’s recent results however don’t provide very encouraging signs with 14 losses in their last 18 away matches. Andorra will have to address their issues in front of goal if they are to keep their dream of promotion alive.

Moldova will like to keep alterations to the minimum as they aim for a crucial win against Andorra. Motpan could earn a call to starting XI after coming off the bench to score against Latvia in their last fixture. Andorra on the other hand, will be still without the services of Marc Vales who was injured in the reverse fixture against Moldova and also missed the game against Liechtenstein. Other than that, not many changes are expected.
