Manchester United welcome Nottingham Forest to Old Trafford for the second leg of the EFL Cup semifinals on Wednesday night. The Red Devils are in the driver’s seat thanks to their emphatic first-leg victory. It will be highly improbable to expect Nottingham to overcome a 3-0 deficit at Old Trafford. Either way, the visitors are expected to name a strong Starting XI and give their all in this contest on Wednesday night.

Nottingham Forest currently have 21 points from 20 games to be sitting 13th in the Premier League table. For a long while, they were languishing in the bottom three, but they have done well in recent weeks to move far away from the relegation zone. However, it will be a tall order to expect Nottingham to turn around the deficit in the second leg at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Manchester United have once again become a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League following a slow start to the league. Erik ten Hag’s side have done incredibly well to be where they are at this point in the season. The Red Devils currently have 39 points from 20 games to be placed fourth in the standings. Despite Christian Eriksen’s injury setback, Man United are expected to name a strong Starting XI to see out the job in this contest.
