Manchester United are going through a difficult run of form lately. The Red Devils lost three games on the bounce in all competitions and are struggling to emulate their last season’s form. Two of those defeats came in the Premier League against Arsenal and Brighton. The third one came at the midweek when United lost a goal fest to German champions Bayern Munich 4-3 in their Champions League Group A opener.

After the three successive losses, Manchester United supporters will be keen to see their team bounce back at the weekend. The Red Devils travel to Burnley for an intriguing Premier League contest. That fixture will be one to watch out for due to various reasons. Just like United’s start to the season, Burnley’s have neither been good hence they will also be keen for a response. Hence, the supporters can expect to see a tightly-fought clash.

Victor Lindelof on Burnley

Defender Victor Lindelof is keen to see the team bounce back in that game on Saturday at Turf Moor. “In the Premier League, it’s always tough. It’s all about the recovery and like you said, we’re staying here tonight and we will try to get a good night’s sleep and recover well. We then fly back to Manchester to prepare for the game on Saturday. Everyone is eager to play that game as well, to bounce back and get three points and hopefully keep going after that,” Lindelof told MUTV.

He then shifted his attention to the Bayern defeat in the Champions League and spoke about the frustration of the result. “I mean, coming here is always tough. We played against a very, very good team. We still managed to score three goals but we didn’t get a result. So of course it’s frustrating as we wanted a better result obviously,” he elaborated.

Manchester United conceded the opener at a time when they were playing well. Besides, the goal came from a blunder by Andre Onana. Reflecting on it, Lindelof said, “Mistakes are part of football. It happens, but it’s all about how we can bounce back from that. I think we started the game well and then obviously we conceded the first goal.”

He added: “After that we just have to keep doing our job and keep playing the football that we want to. We came out in the second half and we wanted to give it a good try and we managed to score three goals. But like I said, in the end we didn’t get the result we wanted. So of course it’s very frustrating.”
