AEK Larnaca will host Fenerbahce in a UEFA Europa League fixture at AEK Arena on Thursday. The reverse fixture between these two sides in Istanbul last week ended in a 2-0 win over Fenerbahce courtesy of Michy Batshuayi’s 26th-minute opener and Rafail Mamas’ own goal, eleven minutes from time. The result helped the Turkish outfit to move to the summit of the Group B standings, having collected seven points from three games, level on points with second-placed Rennes, but separated by goal-difference. Larnaca, meanwhile, are occupying third spot in the group, having pocketed three points from as many games.

Meanwhile, in the domestic circuit, the Turkish outfit are currently sitting at the fourth spot in the super Lig standings, having pocketed 17 points from eight games. Last time out, the Yellow Canaries beat Fatih Karagumruk 5-4 courtesy of Miguel Crespo’s opener, Enner Valencia’s hat-trick and Michy Batshuayi’s last-ditch winner.

Larnaca goalkeeper Andreas Paraskevas and winger Bruno Gama are sidelined with injuries. Altman is likely to lead the line with Faraj and Lopes in support.
