Ghana who qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 earlier this year haven’t enjoyed the best of times in the Kirin Cup which has returned after a period of six long years. Japan comprehensively defeated them 4-1 and as a result confirmed Ghana’s elimination from the competition. Now the African nation only have the third-place spot to fight for and with their opponents also aiming for the same goal it will be a tough and fierce fight as neither of the two teams will want to be out embarrassed from the tournament.

Chile, on the other hand are the only South American side in the Kirin Cup of 2022. Regarded as the favourites to win the tournament at the beginning, Chile have endured a disastrous time and now find themselves with just one win in their last six matches, having conceded 14 goals in that period. La Roja suffered an discouraging 2-0 defeat to Tunisia in their tournament opener and as a result are out of the Kirin Cup. Their recent form will need some addressing if they are to take anything from their final game.

Possible Lineups

According to the Ghana coach, Otto Addo all the players are available with no absentees due to injury or suspension. This will be a big boost as they look to overcome a strong side in Chile. As it happens so many times, the fate of Ghana’s success will be in the hands of Ayew brothers who will be needed at the top of their respective games. As for Chile, some alterations are expected, none so being more obvious than the withdrawal of Jeyson Rojas to bench following his error filled performance against Tunisia. All the players are fit to feature.

Ghana possible line-up: Ati-Zigi, Yiadom, Amartey, Nkrumah-Korsah, Seidu, Wakaso, Kudus, Addo, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Antwi-Adjei

Chile possible line-up: Lopez, Medel, Mena, Diaz, Sierralta, Opazo, Galdames, Mendez, Fernandez, Montecinos, Brereton Diaz
