West Ham United ended their roller-coaster of a season in an impressive fashion. The Hammers struggled to match their previous heights in the Premier League in the 2022-23 campaign, however, they made up for it by performing exceptionally in the Europa Conference League. West Ham went all the way to clinch the trophy after edging past Fiorentina in a thrilling final. Their supporters have been understandably over the moon after the triumph.

Kurt Zouma, defender of West Ham United, is thrilled in getting his hands on the trophy, as he dedicated the triumph to the fans. “There are no words to describe how we feel right now. You can see how happy the fans are, how happy we are, it’s just time to celebrate! We have to thank the fans because they have always behind us, supporting us through every adversity, and seeing them happy like this – that’s what we play for,” he was quoted as saying by the club’s website.

With very little to separate both sides, a late winner by Jarrod Bowen sealed the Europa Conference League trophy for West Ham United. “In a final everything is about details. You have to be strong mentally in these games and I think that’s how we were. The fans helped us as well, and scoring in the 90th minute, the feeling was even better,” he elaborared.

He added: “The manager deserves it. He’s worked hard and built a strong team. You can see on the pitch we’re like a family all fighting for each other and it’s deserved for everybody. Everybody gave their all and we just want to celebrate it.”

I really believed we could win this competition: Mark Noble

Former West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble was ecstatic and filled with joy after seeing the Hammers lift the European trophy. “I feel so blessed to be part of it. In one of my first interviews when I became sporting director, I said that I want to win the FA Youth Cup and stay in the league, and I really believed we could win this competition. And normally, at West Ham, it doesn’t always happen,” he stated.

Noble then reserved praise for Declan Rice and the club for the hard work they put in over the years. “It couldn’t happen to a nicer fella. I am so proud of him. I know his family so well. And I can’t praise him enough. With Dec, it is different. It goes a bit further,” he added. “But it is not just about today. Today is the pinnacle; it’s from years and years of hard work. There has been a lot of failure, a lot of hard work, and a lot of tears. But that is why we love the Club because West Ham is West Ham, and you never know what is around the corner. Nights like this are really special!”
