Palace did not have the best of starts to the new Premier League season after they lost their opener to Arsenal at home.
Crystal Palace will be looking to build on their impressive result at Anfield when they play host to Aston Villa on Saturday in the Premier League. Patrick Vieira’s side were good value for a 1-1 draw at Liverpool in their last match. That result will give them a lot of confidence going into their upcoming clash at Selhurst Park. Aston Villa will also be relatively happy with their result in the last game when they overcame Everton 2-1. It was their first win of the season.

Palace did not have the best of starts to the new Premier League season after they lost their opener to Arsenal at home. Next up was a visit to Anfield. Despite being the underdogs, Crystal Palace matched Jurgen Klopp’s side toe-to-toe. Infact the Eagles were leading when Darwin Nunez was sent off so Vieira would be slightly disappointed at not getting all three points from that match. Meanwhile, Aston Villa started the new season with a shock 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth before overcoming Everton 2-1 in their last game.

In the match against Liverpool, Wilfried Zaha surprisingly played up front. That tactic seemed to work at Anfield as Zaha himself got on the scoresheet. However, he is expected to move back to his preferred wide role on Saturday. This could allow a chance for Jean-Philippe Mateta or Odsonne Edouard to play up top. Meanwhile, Aston Villa suffered a big blow recently when it was revealed that the new signing Diego Carlos will be out of action for a good while. Besides, there are still some question marks hanging over the future of Tyrone Mings, however, the centre-back can take a lot of confidence from his last outing.
Crystal Palace possible line-up: Guaita, Clyne, Anderson, Guehi, Mitchell, Doucoure, Schlupp, Olise, Eze, Zaha, Mateta
Aston Villa possible line-up: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Digne, McGinn, Kamara, Ramsey, Coutinho, Watkins, Ings
