Crawley Town will host Fulham in the second round fixture of EFL Cup at the Broadfield stadium on Tuesday night. The hosts had secured a narrow 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers in the previous round match on August 9. Crawley Town are heading into the match on the back of a 2-0 defeat to AFC Wimbledon in a Football League Two fixture last weekend. Fulham, meanwhile, secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Brentford in a Premier League clash on the same day.

Crawley Town hasn’t made a great start to their new Football League Two season, losing four of their opening five games to be languishing at the 23rd spot in the 24-team table. The Reds were beaten 2-0 by AFC Wimbledon last Saturday, courtesy of goals from Nathan Young-Coombes and Eithen Chislett. Fulham, on the other hand, made a positive start to their 2022-23 Premier League campaign, recording one win and two draws to occupy the seventh spot in the standings. The Cottagers began their league season with an impressive 2-2 draw against Liverpool before playing out a lacklustre 0-0 draw against Wolves. In their last game against Brentford, the Cottagers earned three points courtesy of goals from Bobby Reid, Joao Palhinha and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Crawley defender Tony Craig is suspended because of a red card he received in the fourth-tier fixture. Therefore Ben Wells is expected to partner Conroy and Francillette in the three-man defense. As for Fulham, striker Mitrovic could be handed a rest, therefore Stansfield might be selected to lead the line. New signings Kevin Mbabu, Shane Duffy and Issa Diop could feature on Tuesday.
