The Bees’ only victory so far came against Manchester United (4-0)on August 13. However, Thomas Franck’s side couldn’t keep up the momentum and lost a five-goal thriller against Fulham last Saturday.
Colchester captain Tommy Smith is sidelined with a foot injury, while midfielder Emyr is nursing an ankle problem. Sears is likely to lead the line with Nouble, chilvers and Hannant in support. As for Brentford, Ethan Pinnock is unavailable due to a severe knee injury, while Sergi Canos is doubtful for Tuesday’s game because of a muscle problem. Keane Lewis Potter is expected to join Dervisoglu and Ghoddos in the three-man attack.
