Copenhagen will host Manchester City in a UEFA Champions League fixture at Parken on Tuesday. The reverse fixture at Etihad Stadium, last week, had ended 5-0 in favour of Manchester City courtesy of Erling Haaland’s brace, Davide Khocholava’s own goal and one goal each from Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez. The victory helped the Premier League outfit to move to the summit of Group G, having collected a perfect nine points from three games, while Copenhagen are sitting at the bottom of the four-team table, with just one point to their name.

Copenhagen will enter the match off the back of a 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland in the Danish top division fixture on Saturday. The Byens Hold broke the deadlock through Roony Bardghji’s 83rd-minute strike, but Oliver Antman’s 93rd-minute equalizer meant that the points were shared. The result left them in sixth position, boasting sixteen points from 12 games. The Danish outfit are competing in the Champions League for the first time since 2016-17.
Manchester City, on the other hand, are in stunning form, having won all of their last six games across all competitions. The Cityzens are heading into the match on the back of a 4-0 win over Southampton in a Premier League match last Saturday. Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Erling Haaland netted for the Sky Blues to take all three points at home. Pep Guardiola’s side have netted 20 goals and conceded just four in their last five games across all competitions.
Copenhagen’s midfield duo of Akinkumni Amoo and Zeca are sidelined with injuries. Karamoko, Daramy and Johannesson are likely to form the front-three with Lerager sitting in front of the back-four. As for Manchester City, Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips are occupying the medical room, while defender John Stones is doubtful due to a hamstring issue. In-form striker Haaland is expected to spearhead the attack with Grealish and Foden in support. Kevin de Bruyne is likely to be the playmaker.
Copenhagen probable starting lineup: Grabara, Diks, Vavro, Khocholava, Kristiansen, Stamenic, Lerager, Claesson, Johannesson, Karamoko, Daramy
Manchester City probable starting lineup: Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, ake, Gomez, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Haaland, Foden
