Brighton & Hove Albion will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games across all competitions when they travel to Vitality Stadium on Tuesday to take on Bournemouth in a Premier League fixture. The hosts are heading into the match on the back of a 2-1 win over Fulham this weekend, while Brighton played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against Brentford. As of now, Bournemouth are languishing at the 17th spot in the English top tier standings, having collected 27 points from 28 games, just a solitary point clear of the relegation zone. The Seagulls, meanwhile, have two games in hand over the Cherries, and are sitting at the sixth position, with 43 points to their name, seven adrift of the top four.

Bournemouth’s recent form has been very inconsistent, having recorded three wins and as many defeats from their last six outings. One of those three wins came against Liverpool on March 18. On Saturday, Gary O’Neil’s side fought back from a goal down to get the better of Fulham thanks to second-half efforts from Marcus Tavernier and Dominic Solanke. It was their seven top flight victory of the season. With just ten games remaining, the Cherries need to secure more such positive results to extend their stay at the top tier of English football for at least one more season.
Brighton, on the other hand, are in solid form, having taken 19 points from their last ten league-games, and losing only once during that period. Roberto de Zerbi’s side thrice came-from-behind to earn a point against Brentford last time out, courtesy of equalisers from Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welbeck and Alexis Mac Allister. Prior to that, the Seagulls thrashed Grimsby Town 5-0 to enter the semi-finals of the FA Cup. Brighton secured a narrow 1-0 win over the Cherries in the reverse fixture in February thanks to Mitoma’s 87th-minute effort. Meanwhile, the Seagulls have been pretty good on their travels in the top flight this term, collecting 19 points from a possible 36 on the road.
Bournemouth probable starting lineup: Neto, Smith, Stephens, Senesi, Kelly, Ouattara, Rothwell, Lerma, Anthony, Billing, Solanke
Brighton & Hove Albion probable starting lineup: Steele, Veltman, Dunk, Webster, Estupinan, Gross, Caicedo, March, Mac Allister, Mitoma, Ferguson
