World Cup bound side Senegal will take on Bolivia in an international friendly at Stade de La Source in France on Saturday. The African outfit secured a place in the global event courtesy of overcoming Egypt in the third round of qualification tie in June. Bolivia, meanwhile, failed to qualify for the big event after finishing ninth in the South America qualification group. Senegal are heading into the match on the back of a victory over Mozambique on penalties in the COSAFA Cup match in July.

Senegal, who have recorded an impressive six wins from their last seven games on home soil, are currently top of Group L of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with six points from their opening two games. Meanwhile Aliu Cisse’s side secured their place in the upcoming World Cup at the expense of Egypt. The first leg of the qualifier ended in a 1-0 victory for the Pharaohs, while Senegal leveled the aggregate score in the return leg and then went on to secure a 3-1 win on penalties.

Bolivia, on the other hand, finished second from the bottom in the CONMEBOL qualification group, having pocketed just 15 points from their 18 games. La Verde’s last outing was against Brazil, which ended in a 4-0 defeat on March 30. In that encounter, Tite’s side found the back of the net through Lucas Paqueta, Bruno Guimaraes and a Richarlison. Bolivia have now lost each of their last four games, scoring three goals and conceding 14 since the 5-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago back in January.
