FC Porto will host Inter Milan in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie at Estadio do Dragao on Tuesday night. The first leg at San Siro on February 22 ended 1-0 in favour of Inter. Porto midfielder Otavio was sent off for his second booking 12 minutes from time, and Simone Inzaghi’s side took advantage of a man-less Porto, breaking the deadlock through Romelu Lukaku in the 86th-minute. Meanwhile, the Italian outfit are heading into the match on the back of a 2-1 Serie A-defeat away to Spezia on Saturday, while Porto got the better of Estoril Praia in the Portuguese Primeira Liga, on the same day.

The match at San Siro was an even contest as Porto managed to create some good number of goal-scoring chances, but Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana made a couple fine saves to keep a clean sheet. And then, just four days after the setback, the Dragoes lost 2-1 to Gil Vicente in the league, before getting the better of Chaves (3-1) and Estoril Praia, scoring six times in the process. Last time out, Sergo Conceicao’s side defeated Estoril courtesy of goals from Marko Grujic, Andre Franco and Mehdi Taremi. It was Porto’s 18th top flight victory of the season, taking points tally to 57 from 26 league-games, eight behind leaders Benfica.
Inter, on the other hand, are going through a bit of a rough patch, having lost two of their last three matches. Last time out, Inzaghi’s side lost to a lowly Spezia, despite the fact that Lukaku canceled Daniel Mancini’s opener. Despite taking just three points from their last three matches, Nerazzurri are sitting at the second position in the Italian top flight standings, having pocketed 50 points from 26 games, 18 adrift of leaders Napoli. Inter also have a Coppa Italia semi-final tie against old foes Juventus to tackle next month, but first up Inzaghi’s men will be aiming to book a place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
