Blackpool were clearly outplayed by West Brom in the mid-week. Michael Appleton’s side failed to register even a single shot on target in the entire match compared to five by the Baggies. Okay Yokuslu’s 85th-minute strike separated the two sides at the Hawthorns. Prior to that, the Seasiders registered back-to-back wins against Preston North End (4-2) and Coventry (2-1). The Tangerines would be hoping to get back to winning ways on home turf at the weekend with the chance to move into the top half depending on other results.
Luton, on the other hand, are just three points away from the playoff spot. The Hatters are winless in their last three games, forcing them to slip out of the top-six. Their last victory came against Norwich City on October 19, courtesy of Carlton Morris’ lone goal in the 62nd-minute. After that, Nathan Jones’ side got thrashed away to Watford before sharing the spoils against Sunderland (1-1) and Reading (0-0). The Hatters would be desperate to get back to winning ways and add to their six league wins thus far.
Blackpool midfielder Charlie Patino is doubtful for Saturday’s game because of injury, while Lewis Fiorini has occupied the medical room since August. Madine is likely to spearhead the attack, with Yates and Hamilton in support. As for Luton Town, defender Sonny Bradley is sidelined with an injury, while Gabriel Osho is unavailable because of suspension. Cornick and Morris could form the attacking-duo.
