Anderlecht will be beginning their UEFA Europa Conference League journey with a fixture against Silkeborg. Both the sides will be determined to get the three points and kickstart their campaign. The Belgian side booked a Conference League group stage place thanks to a penalty shootout win over Young Boys in the playoff round. While, Silkeborg couldn’t get the better of HJK Helsinki in the Europa League Qualification and hence dropped to the third tier.

Anderlecht will be disappointed with their recent form. In their last six games, they have managed only two wins to go with one draw and three defeats. However, among these was the crucial two-legged tie against Young Boys which Anderlecht managed to edge narrowly 3-1 on penalties. Now, the Belgian outfit will be hopeful of producing a positive Conference League journey and go a long way in the competition.
Silkeborg too, haven’t been in the best of forms recently. They have earned just win along with a draw and four losses in their last six outings. The Danish side faced disappointment as HJK Helsinki got the better of them by 2-1 on aggregate in the final round of the Europa League qualification. However, they now need to put that all behind and start fresh towards a new journey.
Adrien Trebel, Mario Stroeykens, Kristian Arnstad and Francis Amuzu will all be unavailable for Anderlecht. As for Silkeborg, they will be without the services of the injured, Oscar Fuglsang, Niclas Holm, Gutsav Dahl and Alexander Lind.
