Eibar came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Municipal de Ipurua last week after Mamadou Sylla's ninth-minute opener was canceled out by Juan Diego Molina Martinez on the stroke of half-time.
Alaves will host Eibar in the second leg of their Segunda Division semi-final playoff tie at Mendizorroza on Thursday. The playoff tie is finely poised after the first leg at Municipal de Ipurua ended in a 1-1 draw. The visitors came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw in the home-leg last week after Mamadou Sylla’s ninth-minute opener was canceled out by Juan Diego Molina Martinez on the stroke of half-time. Alaves will be the happier of the two sides to earn a draw away from home despite recording just a solitary attempt on target compared to four shots on target by the Gunsmiths.

Alaves earned a spot in the playoffs courtesy of securing a fourth place finish in the Spanish second tier standings, having collected 71 points from 42 games, level on points with Thursday’s opponents who finished at the fifth position. Courtesy of a better goal-difference, Alaves earned the advantage of playing the second leg of the playoffs in front of their own supporters, and they will be hoping to replicate the 2-0 win they picked up against Eibar in February’s home league meeting. Meanwhile, the Glorious One have been solid at home this term, losing just one of their 21 second tier games at Mendizorroza, and they ended the regular campaign with the second-best home record in the Segunda Division.
Eibar, meanwhile, will be frustrated about not taking advantage in the home leg despite being the better attacking side at Municipal de Irupua. The result has left them with just one win from their last 11 outings. On a positive note, the Gunsmiths have recorded five wins from their last ten games on the road and they finished their regular season with the fourth-best away record, taking 30 points from 21 away league games. Eibar are still firmly in the hunt for promotion as they look to end their two-year stay in the second tier.
Alaves probable starting lineup: Sivera, Tenaglia, Abqar, Sedlar, Duarte, Blanco, Benavidez, Guridi, Rioja, Jason, Sylla
Eibar probable starting lineup: Zidane, Tejero, Alvarez, Berrocal, Rodriguez, Nolaskoain, Pereira, Corpas, Munoz, Stoichkov, Bautista
