Tottenham on the verge of signing Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus

According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus will loan Kulusevski to Spurs for a EUR 5 million with an obligation to buy for a further EUR 35 million.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of signing Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus. According to Sky Sport Italia, Juventus will loan Kulusevski to Spurs for a EUR 5 million with an obligation to buy for a further EUR 35 million if they qualify for the Champions League And other conditions are met. Meanwhile Spurs are also in advanced talks with Juventus for midfielder Rodrigo Bentacur, that deal is reportedly worth EUR 20 million plus bonuses.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims the negotiations have reached an advanced stage and are now close to completion before Monday’s deadline. Kulusevski will fly out to London on Sunday morning for his medical and to sign the contract.

The 21-year-old has made 27 appearances for Juventus in all competitions this season, but has started only seven of those and has scored just twice. Kulusevski joined Juventus from Atalanta in January 2020 in a deal worth GBP 37 million and his contract expires in the summer of 2025.

The winger can play at both the flanks and also as a central attacking midfielder. He came through the Atalanta academy set-up after moving to Italy as a 16-year-old and later rose to limelight during his two loan spells with Parma, once from Atalanta and again after Paratici took him to Juventus in 2019.

He scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in 39 games for Parma and added another seven goals and seven assists in his first campaign for Juve last year. Conte was interested in signing the youngster when he was with Inter Milan.
