Wang Zhiyi is a talented and energetic women’s singles player from Shashi, in the Jingzhou province of China. She started her career as a badminton player by training at the Jingzhou sports school. Subsequently, she went to the Hubei Provincial Training Centre in 2009 and was selected to join the team in 2013. Later on in 2016, Zhiyi got the chance to represent her national team. She was put on the second team in the following year. However, she was again put into the main team due to her performance as the girls’ singles champion at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships. Subsequently, Wang represented her country at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Argentina and clinched the girls’ singles silver. She won the women’s singles title at the 2022 Asian Championships.
