Lu Ching Yao is presently married to his longtime girlfriend Tiff Liao who works at the Singha Beer Company which is located in Thailand.
Lu Ching Yao is a Taiwanese badminton player who specialises in the men’s doubles badminton category. Yao has formed a very strong pairing with his compatriot Yang Po Han with whom he has found relatively decent success in the international badminton circuit. Like his partner Yang, Lu has also found the perfect sync with Yang after teaming up with Huang Po Jui and Tien Tzu Chieh. Yao started by winning the silver medal in the Summer Universiade in 2015 and the Asian Junior Championships in 2011. On the other hand, he won the first international series tournament in 2014 when he became champion in Singapore. Subsequently, Lu received his education at the Ball Sports Department of the University of Taipei.
Lu and Yang have found relatively decent success when it comes to BWF World Tour. The duo have paired since the Belgian International which they won quite easily. This was followed by wins in Polish and Czech International in 2016. Coming to the BWF Grand Prix, the duo have reached the finals on three occasions. However, they have tasted defeat on all three occasions. Now, when it comes to the BWF World Tour, so far the duo have managed to win only the Hylo Open 2023. On the other hand, Lu and Yang have become the runner-up on three occasions, Thailand Masters (2019), French Open (2022) and the Taipei Open (2023).
Likewise, when it comes to the mega-events, there has not been much success for the Taiwanese along with his partner. The duo have only managed to win just a solitary bronze at the Jakarta-Palembang where they were part of the men’s team. Nevertheless, it’s still early days for both of them. Currently, Lu and Yang are ranked 15th place on the BWF World Rank. Moreover, recently the duo put up a spirited fight against the Indian duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty to oust them from the Japan Masters 2023. Naturally, with the Paris Olympics 2024 around the corner, Lu will be gearing up to put his best foot forward.
However, Lu Ching Yao has a very interesting life off the court as well. He is presently settled with his wife and has a daughter as well. Moreover, in his off-time, Liu likes to spend time with his family.

According to reports, Lu Ching Yao and Tiff Liao have one daughter as of now. However, there have been no reports which reveal the name of the daughter.
