Taipei Open 2022: Day 6 Results, Schedule, Fixture and Live Streaming Details

Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tie Chen advanced to the final of the Taipei Open final in the men’s singles category by defeating the Malaysian opponent Soong Joo Ven at the Taipei Heping Basketball Gymnasium on Saturday. The top-seeded shuttler in the 2022 Taipei Open won the match with a scoreline of 21-12, 21-12 in just 42 minutes. The 32-year-old shuttler will take on Japan’s Koroi Naraoka in the title decider on Sunday. Naraoka got the better of Chinese Taipei’s Lin Chun-Yi with a scoreline of 21-19, 22-20. The 21-year-old Japanese shuttler is aiming to win his first major championship this year.

Meanwhile in the women’s singles section, Tai Tzu-Ying defeated Hsu Wen-Chi 21-14, 21-17 in the semi-final match to storm through to the title-decider. Tai defeated her third fellow Taiwanese in a row at the competition and will face Japan’s Saena Kawakami in the final on Sunday. The 24-year-old Japanese shuttler defeated compatriot Natsuki Nidaira 21-13, 21-11 in the second semi-final.
