Taipei Open 2022: Day 3 Results, Schedule, Fixture and Live Streaming Details

Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap started the 2022 Taipei Open with a dominant display, against qualifier Chi Yu Jen on Wednesday. Kashyap, who is the only seeded player from the country, won the match 24-22, 21-10 to advance to the pre-quarterfinals of the tournament.   The 35-year-old Indian will next face Chinese Taipei’s Chia Hao Lee in the second round. On the other hand, in women’s singles category, India’s Malavika Bansod crashed out of the competition in the opening round itself, losing to Chinese Taipei’s Lian Yu. The 20-year-old India lost 10-21, 21-15, 21-14.

Meanwhile the likes of Kiran George, Sammiya Imad Farooqui, Priyanshu Rawat, Mithun Manjunath also went through to the second round of the competition. Kiran defeated Ade Resky Dwicahyo 23-21, 21-17 in the first round of the men’s singles category. Meanwhile Indian men’s duo of MR Arjun and Dhruv Kapila will take on Chinese Taipei pair of Su Ching Heng and Ye Hong Wei in the second round of men’s doubles on Thursday.

The 2022 Taipei Open  will commence on July 19 and end on July 24.
