Singapore Open 2022: Day 6 Results, Schedule, Fixture and Live Streaming Details

Indian shuttler PV Sindhu stormed into the  final of the ongoing Singapore Open 2022 after defeating Japan’s Saina Kawakami  in the women’s singles semi-final on Saturday. Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu claimed the victory with a scoreline of 21-15, 21-7 in just 31 minutes. The 27-year-old Indian will next take on China’s Wang Zhiyi in the title decider. Sindhu is the only Indian player remaining in the tournament after Saina Nehwal and HS Prannoy had crashed out in the previous rounds.

This year, Sindhu has already claimed two super 300 titles at Syed Modi international and Swiss open. The 27-year-old has also won a bronze medal in the Asian championship this year, and is now just one step away from claiming her maiden Super 500 title of the year 2022. Sindhu’s next opponent Wang got the better of Ohori 21-14, 21-14. The ace Indian shuttler had defeated Wang in their only meeting before, which was during the All England Championship this year.
