Singapore Open 2022: Day 3 Results, Schedule, Fixture and Live Streaming Details

Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu and HS Prannoy advanced to the quarterfinals of the Singapore Open Super 500 Badminton tournament on Thursday. Prannoy got the better of the Chinese shuttler Chou Tien Chen 14-21, 22-10, 21-18 in the round 2 encounter. Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu defeated Vietnam’s Thuy Linh Nguyen 19-21, 21-19, 21-18. Earlier Saina Nehwal made a winning start to the competition. Nehwal defeated Malvika Bansod 21-18, 21-15, in a match that lasted 34 minutes. The veteran Indian shuttler completely dominated the proceedings in both the games and made her way into the second round of the tournament. 

Sindhu had to dig deep against the Vietnamese shuttler and the 26-year-old will next face China’s Han Yue in the last-8 stage. Han defeated Indian youngster Ashmita Chaliha to set up a meeting with Sindhu.  Meanwhile Nehwal’s next opponent in the second round will be China’s He Bing Jiao.
