There will be 10 Indians competing in the doubles competition including the men’s duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and women’s pair Treesa Jolly and Gayathri Gopichand. Apart from Satwik-Chirag, none of the Indian shuttlers are seeded for the tournament and have been handed a tough draw at the tournament. Only two Indians have won the All England Open since it started in 1899. Prakash Padukone was the first Indian to win the men’s singles title in 1980. Pullela Gopichand became the second to clinch the coveted trophy in 2001. Meanwhile, Saina and Lakshya finished runner-ups in 2015 and 2022 respectively.
