BWF World Championship 2022: Day 7 Results, Schedule, Fixture and Live Streaming Details

India’s Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty settled for bronze after going down narrowly to the Malaysian duo of Aaron chia and Soh Wooi Yik in the men’s doubles semi-finals at the BWF World Championships on Saturday. The world number 7 Indian pair lost the match with a scoreline of 22-20, 18-21, 16-21 to conclude their run in the prestigious tournament. It was the sixth successive defeat against the Malaysian pair for Satwik and Chirag. Nonetheless, they are now the first ever Indian men’s doubles pair to clinch a medal in BWF world championships. 

World number 1 in Men’s and Women’s singles Viktor Axelsen and Akane Yamaguchi have entered the final of the world championship. Axelsen defeated Chinese Taipei’s Chou Tien Chen with a scoreline of 21-15, 21-17,  and will take on Thailand’s Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the title-decider on Sunday. Vitidsarn got the  better of China’s Zhao Jun Peng  22-20, 21-6. Meanwhile in the Women’s singles category, Yamaguchi secured a 21-9, 21-12 victory over South Korea’s An Se Young to book a meeting with Chinese shuttler Chen Yu Fei in the final on Sunday.
