Mike Tyson, a boxing star and WWE Hall of Famer, has allegedly backed out of “The Roast Of Ric Flair,” which is due to take place as part of the Starrcast V celebrations in Nashville, only 24 hours after being announced for the event. Conrad Thompson had already confirmed that the roast would take place, and as of now, Diamond Dallas Page and Eric Bischoff have been named as roasters, along with Tyson, as TMZ originally reported. More names from the entertainment and wrestling worlds were anticipated to be involved in the initial study, but Tyson is no longer going to be a part of it.

According to a fresh story from TMZ, the former boxer has backed out, with his representative informing them, “Due to unforeseen circumstances Mike will not be participating in the roast,” and they choose not to comment on why. Over the last several years, Tyson and Flair have developed a true relationship and have also become business partners, with Tyson’s cannabis firm “Tyson 2.0” collaborating with Ric Flair’s new marijuana endeavour to offer “Ric Flair Drip” items to his admirers.

There will be several panels, meet & greets, and wrestling events during Starrcast V, but Flair will be a major attraction. Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, JJ Dillon, and Lex Luger will be joining him on stage with the Four Horsemen for a stage panel. The “Roast Of Ric Flair,” which will feature a series of guests making fun of the Nature Boy, will follow, with everything culminating in his final ever wrestling bout, which will be promoted by Jim Crocketts Promotions. It is unknown who Flair will face at this moment, but he has been posting videos of himself practising, including one in which he takes a bump from the top turnbuckle with Jay Lethal. At this time, neither Thompson nor Flair have made a public statement on Tyson’s decision to withdraw from the event.
