Welcome to the report 2 of the WWE Monday Night Raw. Raw will return to our lives on June 19, 2023, live from the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, bringing with it all the most current buildup to the impending Money in the Bank pay-per-view. For the women’s MITB event, Trish Stratus and Raquel Rodriguez competed in a qualifying match this week. Rhea Ripley and Natalya squared off in a Night of Champions rematch, and Matt Riddle battled Ludwig Kaiser of the Imperium. Jake Paul also returned to WWE in order to get ready for his next storyline. Let’s go over what happened in the episode from Monday.

The Viking Raiders vs. Alpha Academy

Starting with Gable and Erik, they engage in mat grappling, a snap suplex, tag the big men, and Otis starts to heat up. Erik interferes with the Stinger Splash that lands Warbeard on his back, and Ivar then knocks him out with a reverse roundhouse! Quick tags prohibit Dozer from moving, but he is hotly tagged! The straps are down, he climbs to the top, and Gable, who is hot on suplexes, MOONSAULTS TO THE FLOOR! When Valhalla returns inside, Maxxine drags her to the mat and suplexes her! Otis is busy cheering as Erik throws his hip toss Go 2 Sleep. Erik hits Chad Gable in the face with a knee, resulting in a pinfall victory for the Viking Raiders.

Raquel Rodriguez vs. Trish Stratus

Lou Thesz Press responded to Stratus’s forearm throws with a ragdoll bear hug before taking him down with a waistlock. Rodriguez body slams Trish in the center of the ring after drawing her up. Zoey Stark interferes as Trish elbows her way out of a waistlock and sets up a hefty slap to the face after tripping Stratus up in the corner. Rodriguez is violently rammed against the post by Raquel when she whips across the pitch and sides steps her. DDT, a large tornado, SO CLOSE! Raquel wants to use a powerbomb during the penalty kick, but Stratus defends with a headscissors strike into the turnbuckles for two!

After some difficulty, the big right hand’s Camel Clutch reversed into a side slam! Rodriguez strikes her with a Snake Eyes, Stinger Splash, and scoop! Stratus collapses to the ground after Trish dodges a lariat but swallows one from the opposite arm. Trish and Becky Lynch get into a fight as Becky Lynch approaches to surprise attack Zoey Stark… By virtue of being disqualified, Trish Stratus triumphs and advances to the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Bronson Reed

Reed kicks out as Nakamura launches into kicks, Good Vibrations, cravate knees, snapmare, and a knee drop. Shinsuke successfully counters Bronson’s elbow drop and banzai drop with a sliding German suplex. We’re about to take a break as Ricochet attacks with the King of Strong Style. After the commercial, Reed has Nakamura down with a forearm and pulls him back up for a powerful chop.

Sidestepping, kicking the corner, diving for the knee—NOPE! Front chancery: Bronson releases his hold, powerslams with a ripcord scoop… SO CLOSE!  When Shinsuke kicks Reed to the ground, Bronson dodges and sends him flying into the One and Only while Ricochet and Reed trade blows on the ground. Reed throws a big suplex and climbs up top. By using the 747 Splash, Bronson Reed triumphs by pinfall.

Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens vs. Judgment Day

The American Nightmare selected Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to be their willing partners in a six-man tag bout that would conclude the event after Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and Damien Priest challenged Rhodes to find two partners. The American Nightmare was scheduled to face Dom first, but Balor entered the match instead. The two ex-members of the Bullet Club locked horns and engaged in a combative exchange of grips and takedowns.

All six of the contestants had some memorable moments in this intriguing battle, but Ripley’s presence at ringside was undoubtedly an impediment in both good and bad ways. They did a fantastic job of handling several conflicts simultaneously while still keeping the attention on the match in front of us. After a protracted struggle, Cody prevailed with Cross Rhodes on Priest to put an end to the show and send the audience home satisfied. With a Cross Rhodes from Rhodes on Damian Priest, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn prevail by pinfall.

folks, that’s the show.
