Bron Breakker of WWE NXT previously battled World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a loss. The role that he was given clearly demonstrates how the corporation sees him. Despite multiple rumours regarding Breakker making his main roster debut during WrestleMania season, the 25-year-old was ultimately maintained in the developmental brand.
Rick Steiner, his father, was recently embroiled in a significant scandal after making transphobic remarks towards IMPACT wrestler Gisele Shaw. Several persons who witnessed the incident confirmed the behavior. According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Steiner even stated that he made insulting comments to many persons, albeit those who are aware of this have not provided any further specifics.
This, however, will not deter Bron Breakker, who just told USA Today that his father’s opinions don’t accurately represent him as a person. Although WWE has no plans to fire Rick Steiner, he is unlikely to continue working for the organization for some time. WWE sources even stated to Fightful that they had no intention of keeping Breakker liable for stuff his father did. Since joining the worldwide behemoth, the young star has had no character difficulties.

Despite the fact that the “Steiner” name has been associated with the wrestling industry since the late twentieth century, WWE chose to drop Bron’s last name, prompting him to adopt the stage name Breakker. Rick Steiner went on record during Table for 3 that he believes the Stamford-based promotion came up with the term Bron Breakker. The former NXT Champion, on the other hand, emphasized:
“I kind of came up with it from football and just playing football I tried to hurt people or break people in half when I was blocking,” Breakker said. “That’s kind of how I came up with the name and I don’t feel like we need to use the [Steiner] name for me to be successful. I mean, I think I should, just go my own, go my own route and pay tribute to [The Steiner Brothers.]” [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Bron Breakker, who is 25 years old, has retained the NXT Championship on two occasions for a total of 425 days. Following a fantastic match against Seth Rollins at NXT Gold Rush, it continues yet to be determined whether he will finally make his main roster debut.
