Brock Lesnar exacted vengeance on Cody Rhodes in a rematch of their Backlash match on Saturday at WWE Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia. Rhodes wrestled with his arm in a cast after being broken by The Beast Incarnate on Monday’s Raw. He utilized it as a weapon at one point and gained the upper hand.
Lesnar, on the other hand, grabbed The American Nightmare in a Kimura Lock and managed to break free. When The Beast locked it in for the second time, Rhodes collapsed.
Lesnar and Rhodes’ feud began on the Raw following WrestleMania 39, when Lesnar tricked Rhodes and used the chance to mercilessly assault the 2023 men’s Royal Rumble winner. The American Nightmare had lost to undisputed WWE global champion Roman Reigns in the ‘Mania main event due to interference by Solo Sikoa the night before, thus Rhodes challenged them to a tag team match on Raw.
Lesnar agreed to be his partner since they both despise Reigns, which seems out of character for The Beast. Before the fight could begin, Lesnar knocked Rhodes out with an F-5 through the announce table and into the steel steps. Then, the rest of the WWE universe knows. Let’s sew whether Brock again costs Cody Rhodes his match at MITB 2023.
