Roman Reigns has finally broken his silence regarding his WWE Undisputed Universal title defence match against Riddle. Reigns took to Twitter and tweeted, “Now I have to leave the private island …jump on the private yacht ….and then board the private jet just to smash this idiot on #Smackdown Tribal Chief problems.” Riddle defeated Sami Zayn on SmackDown to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship next week on SmackDown.

Roman Reigns vs Riddle has been doing the rounds

There have been rumours flying around for quite some now about a match between Roman Reigns and Riddle. There is now more clarity on when and how the match can take place. According to Dave Meltzer, the match is now expected to take place on television rather than at a live event. It was originally reported widely that Riddle would be challenging Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship at next month’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. It was after Riddle called out Reigns. But earlier this week it was reported that the Tribal Chief is now no longer going to be present on the day of the show.

Because of the aforementioned change, the original plan of Riddle taking on Roman will now happen on either RAW or SmackDown. There is also a chance that WWE may not do the match at all, but Riddle is set to appear on SmackDown this week and confront Reigns. The Tribal Chief was advertised for Money In The Bank next month but was taken off the show along with Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair as WWE changed the location to a smaller venue as they were having difficulty in selling out the 65 thousand-seated Allegiant Stadium. The show has now been shifted to the MGM Grand Garden which houses 17 thousand people.
