Since his return, MVP just wants to help others out in WWE. WWE Superstar MVP recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard to discuss a lot of different things.

MVP credited his son for inspiring him to return to WWE in 2020 when he returned to participate in the 2020 Royal Rumble.

“Yeah, absolutely. My entire approach. But now I’m not just doing it [for myself]. I stopped doing it for myself some time ago,” MVP said. “I mean, I take pride in everything I do, but my son who’s watching me every week, but the individuals that I deal with on a business perspective, the Hurt Business, Omos, I’m doing this for them as well.

“So, I’ve been successful, and I know how to get success out of other people so I can help elevate others to achieve their goals. I’ve achieved virtually every goal I set out to achieve, and now I can help others do it. And I’m good with that doing for others” h/t WrestleZone. Watch the full interview with MVP at Wrestle Zone.

MVP’s WWE return

At the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, MVP returned to WWE as a #12 surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble match. But he was quickly eliminated by Brock Lesnar, this marked his first match in the WWE ring in 10 years. He then had a match on Monday Night Raw against Rey Mysterio and he lost. He then bought back “The VIP Lounge” with his first guest being 2020 Royal Rumble winner Drew McIntyre.

He turned heel for the first time since 2009, insulting fans, and advising Drew to let him be his manager. But Drew McIntyre disregarded what he said and attacked him. At Backlash MVP managed as Bobby Lashley challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, but he was unsuccessful.

Later Shelton Benjamin joined his stable, now known as The Hurt Business. Bobby Lashley proclaimed that The Hurt Business is over when they lost several times to other which made Bobby quite unhappy.

Since returning to WWE in 2020, MVP hasn’t done anything other than training and helping Bobby Lashley. He became Bobby Lashley’s manager and started playing that role for quite some time. But in 2023, MVP turned against Bobby and aligned himself with Omos. MVP helped Omos def. Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash. Bobby got his revenge at WWE Hell in a Cell in a handicap match 2-on-1, when he defeated both MVP and Omos and ended their feud.
