Drew McIntyre WWE Career

McIntyre showcased his talent and quickly rose through the ranks. He won the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship and the NXT Championship, becoming the first-ever NXT Champion in 2012. WWE promoted him to the main roster later that year. However, despite his initial success, McIntyre’s main roster run did not meet expectations. He underwent character changes and found himself in various mid-card positions. Eventually, he was released from his WWE contract in June 2014.

In April 2017, McIntyre made his return to WWE. However, this time, he arrived on the main roster, bypassing NXT. Rebranded as “Drew McIntyre,” he immediately made an impact, aligning himself with Dolph Ziggler.

McIntyre achieved a major milestone by winning the WWE Championship. He defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 to capture the title, marking his first world championship in WWE. McIntyre’s reign as champion continued for several months, solidifying his status as a top performer.

Since winning the WWE Championship, McIntyre has remained a prominent figure on the WWE roster. He has engaged in high-profile feuds and competed in notable matches, showcasing his in-ring skills, charisma, and determination.
