Logan Paul the controversial YouTuber turned WWE United States Champion continues to be a hot topic in the wrestling world. In his recent match against Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Paul’s in-ring instincts took center stage as he swiftly saved Mysterio from a potentially dangerous landing. However, despite the praise he received, Paul remains modest about his role in the ring.

Reflecting on the viral clip during the latest episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast, Paul acknowledged his contribution to preventing Mysterio from an awkward neck landing. Yet, he candidly admitted, “I think I also almost killed Rey Mysterio.” Analyzing the move, Paul noted a joint mistake in positioning but emphasized his commitment to catching Mysterio, stating, “I wasn’t gonna catch him.“

While headlines celebrated Paul’s quick thinking, the newly-crowned WWE United States Champion downplayed his actions asserting that he was simply executing the responsibilities of a professional wrestler.

Despite appreciating the positive coverage, Paul humorously acknowledged, “I’ll take the praise.” He identified the challenging aspect of the maneuver as catching Mysterio in their specific positions.

Paul’s victory in Saudi Arabia marks his first title in WWE since joining the company last year. His wrestling journey has been nothing short of meteoric with a debut at WrestleMania 38. A high-profile match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia and most recently a triumphant showdown against WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship.

Despite his relative newness to the wrestling scene, Paul has shown respect for WWE during his tenure. However, true to his notorious persona the brash YouTuber has already attempted to pawn the coveted title belt adding a touch of unpredictability to his character.
