Brock Lesnar's final performance with the WWE was during the 2023 Summerslam PPV in which he faced Cody Rhodes.
There was quite a buzz all around on the first night of the WWE WrestleMania 40 about the matches that took place but specifically one missing name which made everyone question Brock Lesnar’s current status. Regardless of the absence of Brock Lesnar in the recent WWE events, his contractual status with the company has not ended yet. Triple H also confirmed this during the WrestleMania Night one press conference.

Due to the Legal controversy of Vince McMahon and some elite of the company all of the booked structures connected with Lesnar were discarded, and people were not sure about his future and storylines as well.
Some rumors surrounded Brock Lesnar’s possible involvement at WrestleMania 40 to add to the excitement. Initially, it was believed that Gunther would fight Lesnar but his absence from the event resulted in Gunther’s defense against Sami Zayn leading to the end of Gunther’s record-holding 666-day reign as champion. Lesnar’s contractual status may remain unresolved although he has confirmed the fact. Nonetheless, this is how the ongoing legal battle restricts his WWE bright future.
The uproar concerning Lesnar’s alleged role in the lawsuit against the Grant family has similarly caused his character portrayal in the WWE video games to be directly affected as well. Lesnar’s role, however, has been limited. He has been removed from the “WWE 2K Supercard” game, and he will not initially be a playable character in “WWE 2K24.” Nevertheless, one can play through his character in the “40 Years of WrestleMania” showcase mode against two different opponents. These show that Lesnar’s position within the WWE community is unclear and that he could decide to leave the industry in the future.
