According to court papers that PWInsider got a hold of, Tammy Sytch’s DUI case will go to trial on August 21. The hearing was supposed to happen the week of September 18, but it has been said that the date has been moved up a few weeks.

Sytch is facing a total of nine charges, including DUI Manslaughter, one count of causing death while driving a motor vehicle with a suspended or canceled driver’s license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property.

The charges against Tammy Sytch stem from a DUI crash that happened in March 2022. This means that the court case has been going on for more than a year. Sytch said he wasn’t guilty of all nine charges in June 2022.

Sytch has been charged with DUI in the past in states like New Jersey and Pennsylvania, which led to jail time, probation, and her driver’s license being taken away or suspended.

What got Tammy Sytch interested in wrestling?

Sytch first got into wrestling through Chris Candido, who was her boyfriend at the time. She began her career with Jim Cornette’s Smoky Mountain Wrestling.

Together with Candido, she quickly joined WWE, where she took the name Tamara Murphy and worked as a reporter for “Live Event News” parts on WWE TV shows. She changed jobs and became a boss under the name Sunny. She was in charge of Candido. She went on to handle fighters and stables like Farooq Asaad, Savio Vega, and the Legion of Doom.

In 1998, WWE let her go, and she went back to Candido in ECW. But she was only there for a short time because she and Candido left for WCW in 2000. She left WCW that same year and went on to fight on the independent circuit until 2011, when she was welcomed into the WWE Hall of Fame.
