When you think of high flyers and risk-takers in wrestling, the name of Jeff Hardy comes to mind before anyone else. The legendary enigma has given fans plenty of moments to remember and has formed a bond with them as few have ever done and that is what makes him one of the most beloved superstars on the planet.

Jeff has transitioned from being in a world-class tag team to being a great singles star. He has been wrestling since 1994 which makes him a veteran and over the course of his long and storied career, he has had many rivalries. In this article, we take a look at some of Jeff Hardy’s best rivalries.

CM Punk

Jeff Hardy and CM Punk went head to head when Punk was the top heel in the company. After a gruelling World title match against Edge from which Hardy emerged victorious, Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and took the title away from Jeff and the crowd absolutely hated it.

This was also the Punk who spoke down to others because of this straight-edge persona. Hardy was an easy target as he had trouble in the past because of his addiction to drugs and alcohol. Both men were at their very best during this rivalry and the highlights were a steel cage match and a TLC match. This was Hardy’s best feud by far.

Edge

Edge and Jeff first took on each other in tag team competition as the Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian feuded during their days as a tag team. Later on, the teams disbanded and all four men went their own way and became singles superstars.

Hardy and Edge had a tremendous ladder match for the WWE World title and it was an edge of the seat thriller. The fans cheering on Hardy who was the face and booing Edge who was the heel played with the storyline perfectly and proved that both men had great chemistry.

Randy Orton

Jeff Hardy and Randy Orton had two great feuds during their time in the WWE. The first one was a WWE title match at the Royal Rumble. Randy ended up winning the contest but the program made Hardy into a main event star.

The second feud came in 2018 when they rekindled the rivalry with Orton targeting Hardy. WWE gave them a huge platform inside of the Hell in a Cell structure. They managed to deliver spots that had never been done before showing that they never really missed a step despite not being so young anymore.
