Jeff was born to Gilbert and Ruby Moore Hardy and raised in Cameron, North Carolina and started his career performing in the Trampoline Wrestling Federation alongside his brother Matt. Eventually, that would transition into the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts also known as OMEGA as they became older. He looked up to The Ultimate Warrior, Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan as his inspirations.
Hardy has had great success in his singles career, capturing his first of six world championships, the WWE Championship in 2008 and going on to hold WWE’s World Heavyweight Championship twice and the TNA World Heavyweight Championship three times. In WWE, he has also won the Intercontinental Championship five times, the Hardcore Championship three times and the European, Light Heavyweight, and United States Championships once each.
Having won all these championships, Jeff Hardy is the 18th Triple Crown Champion and 9th Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. He has headlined numerous pay-per-view events for WWE and TNA, including TNA’s flagship event, Bound for Glory, on two occasions.
Jeff is involved in various things outside of wrestling like motocross, music, painting and other artistic endeavours and it is not hard to see why. Jeff started off his career in WWF as a jobber who lost regularly to his opponents. His match against Razor Ramon took place in Youngstown, Ohio. Randy Savage was on commentary on the night of the event.
After training with Christian, Kurt Angle, A-train, and Test, Jeff and his brother finally formed a tag team known as The Hardy Boyz. They had memorable feuds with various legendary tag teams and established themselves as a household name in the tag team division.
