Batista is a well-known figure in the wrestling and Hollywood industry. Batista’s WWE career came to an end when he was defeated by former Evolution leader Triple H at WrestleMania 35. The wrestler-turned-actor was nominated for induction into the WWE Hall of Fame in the 2020 class, but he was unable to attend and therefore missed out on the opportunity.

Batista has put up several incredible and mind-blowing bouts. Outside of WWE, Batista has been one of the most active wrestlers. Batista had a long and illustrious career in WWE, and we take a look back at some of his most memorable rivalries.

Here’s a look back at some of Batista’s most memorable WWE rivalries

Daniel Bryan

When Batista won the 2014 Royal Rumble, the WWE Universe erupted in rage because they were rooting for Daniel Bryan to win. Despite the fact that Batista was not to fault for the booking, the fans vented their wrath on him.

Batista’s heel turn set up a triple threat match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX between him, Randy Orton, and Daniel Bryan. By forcing Batista to submit to the Yes Lock, the latter won the contest.

That was Bryan’s most famous and legendary moment, and Batista deserves praise for gladly putting him over. This was a brief but all-time tremendous rivalry between the two.

John Cena

You could put Cena in here just for their SummerSlam match and Royal Rumble drama, but with that wonderful feud building up to WrestleMania 26, John Cena cemented his place as one of Batista’s deadliest foes.

From 2005 through the huge exhibition in the desert, these two men were the faces of the organization. While many fans were disappointed to see Cena win, the match was strong enough to let many forget about the result in the long term.

The Undertaker

Throughout their WWE careers, Batista and The Undertaker were involved in three major feuds, all of which they won. It featured a showdown between two ruthless, brave, and physically dominating superstars. That alone piqued my interest in their rivalry, but they also showed great synergy throughout their bouts.

At WrestleMania 23, Batista came close to breaking Undertaker’s streak, but The Deadman eventually triumphed. They also battled in a slew of World Heavyweight Championship pay-per-view bouts, and with good cause. When The Animal and The Phenom got together, it was always a great show.
