The United States of America will be keen to hold on to the top spot when they take on Serbia in the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League on Friday. In the round one clash, two in-form sides will be going head-to-head with the intention of adding more points on board. The Americans have been mighty impressive throughout the tournament to top the table currently. Serbia are not that far behind in the standings, hence fans can expect to witness an entertaining clash on Friday.

In the preliminary round, 16 women’s teams will compete in pools of 8 teams under the revised format. During the pool stage, each team plays 12 matches. Eight teams will then advance to the competition’s final knockout round. The Finals will include the seven strongest teams, with the finals host – Turkey – entering the knockout round as the top-placed team. It will consist of eight matches in total – four quarterfinals, two semi-finals, and bronze and gold medal matches.
