The tournament will take place from May 30 to July 16, 2023. The decisive round will be held in Arlington, Texas, in the United States, at College Park Centre. Four volleyball confederations’ top 16 nations will compete in the VNL). It is one of the leading international indoor competitions put on by the FIVB, the organisation that governs the sport. Sunday will see Poland take on South Korea in the Volleyball Nations League round 3. Poland currently is at the top of the table. While South Korea is in a perilous position based on its current position. South Korea continue to languish at the bottom of the table at the sixteenth position. Poland and South Korea last met in last year’s FIVB World Championship which was held after FIVB Nations League. In the last encounter, the Polish thrashed the Korean team. Poland eventually won the game 3-0.
This time however a lot is at stake, especially for the Korean side who are almost eliminated from the nations league. The Koreans will enter the match after getting hammered by China (1-3). The Polish side on the other hand is coming after thrashing the Bulgarians (3-1). Thus to look at it from the match point, Sunday’s encounter will be very crucial for Poland. South Korea will play for its pride. Nevertheless, both teams are going to give their all given the fact it is the penultimate round before the knockouts.
