Calicut Heroes take on Bengaluru Torpedoes in the second season of the RuPay Prime Volleyball League on Tuesday, in a match that will hold massive significance for both sides. These two teams are in and around the top four places, hence they both will be eager to get the win from this fixture at the Regional Sports Centre in Kochi. However, it will not be an easy game for both sides since there is not much to separate these two teams.

Besides, Calicut Heroes were stunned by Kochi Blue Spikers in their last game, hence they will be eager to make a comeback in this one. “We made some errors against the Spikers. But we have learned from them and we have rectified that in the training. We are hoping for a good game against Bengaluru,” Calicut Heroes attacker M Ashwin Raj was quoted as saying by a release.
Ashwin then went on to speak about his team’s strategies and the importance of this clash. “We have a strong team and we will play as per our own coordination. We will give our best in all the positions and play as per our strengths,” he added. “We have to win against Bengaluru at any cost so that we can solidify our position for the semi-finals and the final. The table is so tight, so we have to get the win.”

On the other hand, Bengaluru Torpedoes attacker Ibin Jose spoke about the importance of getting a win in this match in order to boost his side’s chances of getting a playoff spot. “Yeah, we are looking forward to giving our best in this match against Calicut. We are focusing on a win that can take us to playoffs,” Ibin said.
“There nothing as pressure, more excitement. Even if it’s a crucial match for the team. We are excited to give our whole performance,” he stated. Ibin, who hails from Kerala, then spoke about what it means to play in front of the local supporters. “Playing in my hometown means a lot. It gives an enormous excitement to give the best on the court,” he added.

The Prime Volleyball League 2023, which is held from February 4 to March 5, will consist of 31 matches. The games commence at 7pm. On the double header days, the second match begins at 9:30pm. The Season 2 will be broadcast exclusively by Sony Sports Network across Sony Sports Ten 1, Sony Sports Ten 3 and Sony Sports Ten 4. It can also be livestreamed on SonyLIV. Besides, the 2nd edition of the PVL will be streamed globally on Volleyball World across all countries (except the Indian Subcontinent).
